Committee and AGM

The committee are a group of Wine Club members who volunteer their time to coordinate Wine Club activities. The committee:

• Ensure that meetings run smoothly, for example: sourcing wines, catering and serving where food is provided, booking venues, set up for meetings, creating meeting content (such as wine information, quizzes), arranging speakers (members or external)

• Set the programme for the year

• Meet regularly (virtually) to discuss Wine Club business

• Publish the Vine Cuttings newsletter

• Maintain and update the website

• Review feedback from meetings to inform the programme and future meetings

• Review Club income and expenditure

• Propose the agenda and recommendations for the Annual General Meeting

The Wine Club holds an Annual General Meeting each year (usually in October). The meeting includes:

• The Chairman's Report of the year's activities

• The Treasurer's Report of the Wine Club's financial position, including review of the audited accounts

• Election of committee members

• Nomination of the charity to benefit from the Christmas Party raffle proceeds

• Notices and other business relating to the running of the Wine Club
